Opportunities await with Perth Stadium tender portal

Small businesses are being encouraged to make the most of opportunities through ProjectConnect an online portal for new Perth Stadium construction tenders.

Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, about 100 tenders are expected to be awarded during the stadium’s three-year construction period.

ProjectConnect was launched at the Perth Stadium site in Burswood on 8 September 2014 by Small Business Minister Joe Francis and Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron, with Small Business Commissioner David Eaton in attendance. Read more...

Small businesses may need to check electrical cables

WA small business owners are being urged to contact their builders or electrical contractors to determine the brand of electrical cabling installed in their business premises.

It follows a national safety recall of Infinity brand cables that do not comply with Australian safety standards. EnergySafety advises licensed electrical contractors who know, or suspect, they have bought and installed the cables should contact their cable supplier. Read more...
