What is the SBDC and “Turn to Us”?

The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) has been providing small business advice and support to Western Australian small businesses for more than forty years. A WA Government agency governed by an independent Board and led by the Small Business Commissioner, the SBDC exists to help small business owners start well, survive and thrive in business.

The “Turn to Us” marketing campaign aims to increase general awareness of the SBDC and its services among WA small business owners in the Perth metropolitan area, where nearly 80 per cent of the state’s small businesses are based. Specifically, it aims to:

  • Communicate the benefits of the SBDC's key services for small business customers (business advisory, workshops and dispute resolution services)
  • Position the SBDC as the trusted first port of call that small business owners can turn to for independent free business advice
  • Demonstrate to small business owners the State Government's commitment to supporting small business growth and development by providing accessible, high quality and trusted support services delivered by WA's only State Government agency dedicated to small business support.

The paid advertising component of the campaign will encourage viewers to visit a landing page on sbdc.com.au or call 133 140 to learn more about and take advantage of these services. The campaign is being supported by earned media (PR) activity. Hard copy promotional materials and this digital toolkit have been produced to support the outreach component of this campaign.
