Business skills

A great idea and passion for your chosen industry will only take you so far in business. Having the necessary skills and knowledge to manage the numerous tasks associated with running your own business can be the difference between success and failure. Throughout your business journey there will be opportunities to expand your skills and develop new ways of thinking that will help set your business apart from the competition.

Our Starting a Business workshop is an essential first step. It covers all the key topics from assessing your business idea, understanding if there really is a market for your product or service, making key financial decisions through to deciding whether you are really ready to ‘go it alone’.

Our other workshops take a more in-depth look at various aspects of running a business including how to write a business plan, supply chain management, safety management plans, developing operating systems, analysing data, leadership skills and employing staff.

Please note: our workshops are open to small business owners in Western Australia only.
