There are a number of opportunities available to small business owners to secure funding or carry out work for the State Government.
Here is a recap of some of the opportunities currently available.
2021 Innovator of the Year program
The program has six awards, with a total a prize pool of $140,000 available to help winners commercialise or grow their innovations. This includes the 2021 WA Innovator of the Year Overall Winner, who will receive a prize of $70,000.

Innovation Vouchers Program grants
Vouchers of up to $20,000 are available to help early stage businesses and start-ups from all sectors access the professional skills and services they need to advance their ideas or commercial activities in WA.
Applications close: 11am on Tuesday, 25 May 2021.
Rottnest Island recreational business proposals
The Rottnest Island Authority is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from businesses in the recreational, leisure and Aboriginal cultural tourism industries, for new activities and services to be delivered during the summer of 2021/22. ;
EOIs close: 4pm on Thursday, 3 June 2021.
Aboriginal tourism opportunities
The State Government has announced a $20 million tourism fund to support the development of Aboriginal tourism experiences as part of the Tjina: Western Australian Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan 2021-2025.
