New features on our website
To make it even easier to access to business advice and to find the right business workshop for you, we have launched two new features on our website. These are a new live chat service and an interactive workshop schedule.
Real time advice via live chat
Our new live chat option connects you to one of our business advisers, who can answer your questions about starting or running a business, or help you navigate through information on our website.
Our advisers are online from 8:30am to 4:30pm weekdays. Outside of our office hours, you can use the live chat feature to leave a message and one of our advisers will follow up with you as soon as possible.
You’ll see the live chat option (pictured below) on selected pages of our website, including the home page.
Interactive workshop schedule
Our new interactive workshop schedule can help you easily:
- browse all up-coming workshops
- search for workshops by date, topic or region
- book workshop tickets without leaving our website (please note: bookings for workshops in the Perth Metro area are made through Eventbrite).
As you explore our workshop schedule you’ll notice this symbol . This icon is used to highlight our foundation workshops, which have been developed specifically for people who are new to running their own business.
More workshop information
To help you sort through our range of more than 75 workshop titles, we have introduced seven categories to help you find what you’re looking for. These are:
- Business skills
- Digital skills
- Financial management
- Interpersonal skills
- Sales and marketing
- Strategy and risk
- Tendering and contracts
Each workshop title and workshop category has a dedicated information page to help you find out more about the new skills you can learn.
Visit our Small business workshops section to see our expanded range of workshop information.
Free online workshops for business owners
To help you get through the impact of COVID-19, our workshops are currently available free of charge thanks to substantial funding from the Government of Western Australia.
Workshops that would normally be held in the Perth metro area are now being offered as online events. They are live so you also have an opportunity to ask questions. This also means that the numbers for each session are capped - so make sure you check the workshop schedule regularly to secure your place.
Please note: As our workshops are funded by the Western Australian Government, we are unable to accept registrations from people living outside Western Australia. We are also unable to provide recordings of workshops.
If you’re in regional WA, workshops in your area are delivered by our Business Local service.
