Our Business Local outreach program has been enhanced to provide improved support services to businesses across Western Australia (WA).
Launched in 2015, Business Local empowers small business owners with the skills and knowledge they need to better manage and grow their businesses by providing access to free advice and guidance from experienced business advisers located across the State.
Changes to the program have been made to provide greater flexibility for the SBDC and Business Local service providers to respond to the needs of small businesses in their local areas.
The new Business Local service will have two delivery models, providing support to regional and metropolitan businesses in WA.
Business Local support in regional WA
If you’re a small business owner in regional WA, we’ve enhanced the reach and efficiency of the Business Local service to provide you with access one-to-one business advisory services via a range of channels including face-to-face, over the phone and digitally.
In addition to the business advisory service, your Business Local provider will also deliver enterprise skills development through workshops, group sessions, seminars and webinars.

Support for small businesses in the Perth metro area
To complement the free one-on-one advisory services provided by the SBDC to business owners in the metropolitan area, Business Local will be providing you with access to a wide range of enterprise skills workshops. We’ve put together a panel of experienced subject matter experts who will deliver a range of free workshops across topics including:
- business management
- business financials
- digital skills
- strategic planning
- tendering and procurement
