Leading mental health support organisation, Beyond Blue, is delivering dedicated coronavirus mental wellbeing support online and over the phone.

This support is delivered via two free services:

  • NewAccess for Small Business Owners coaching program
  • Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service (available 24/7)

NewAccess for Small Business Owners

This program has been developed to help with the challenges being faced by small business owners, with support being provided via six one-to-one sessions. As part of the program, you will be paired with a coach that has a small business background and is trained to provide a practical approach to problem solving. Your coach can help you:

  • discuss your challenges
  • develop a problem statement
  • create an action plan based on your needs
  • guide you through your action plan and review your progress

Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service

This service provides support to those feeling the effects of the pandemic on their mental health. It includes:

  • one-to-one support over the phone and online chat
  • online resources such as a forum
  • apps and advice on a range of subjects
  • coping with loneliness and self-isolation
  • dealing with job loss and financial worries
  • support for essential service workers and small businesses

An important part of the support provided is the dedicated phone line and online chat service which connects you to a counsellor for more personalised advice. Trained mental health professionals can link you to other services and information, including financial support or family violence support, as needed. They will also be able to make clinical referrals and escalate people to more intensive mental health care if required.
