Small Business Commissioner supports productivity and innovation in WA

Commissioner David Eaton has attended the launch of the BankWest Curtin Economics Centre Report on Productivity and Innovation in Australia which raises the question ‘Are we positioned for an ideas boom?’

According to the report, labour productivity is often regarded as an indicator of improvements in living standards. With the exception of 1999-2000, Australia has shown a steady year-on-year labour productivity growth over the period 1994 to 2015.

At the launch, the Commissioner met with Professor Lyn Beazley AO, Distinguished Professor of Science at Murdoch University; Mr Larry Lopez, Director, Accelerated Commercialisation, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, and a group of maths and science students from Willetton Senior High School.
