200 small businesses sign up
In last month’s e-news, the SBDC called for small businesses wanting to take advantage of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s new Australian Trusted Trader program.
We’re pleased to say 200 small business around the nation have now submitted an expression of interest in the program, and are now progressing their applications.
The program provides reliable and responsible importers and exporters access to streamlined processes through customs. The ATT was launched in July 2015 and is being implemented in stages.
The 200 businesses, including some 24 from Western Australia, are now on their way to applying for accreditation that will enable them to streamline their importing or exporting processes, resulting in faster clearing times through customs, and less red tape.
It’s not too late to register your Expression of Interest, just complete a short questionnaire about your business including confirmation of your ABN, two years of trading experience and financial solvency, on the Trusted Trader website.
