The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) welcomes the appointment of new office bearers for the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industries (RCCI), announced this week.
Acting Managing Director, Ms Jacky Finlayson, says the RCCI, which represents 34 Chambers of Commerce and over six thousand regional businesses, is a great support for small business throughout regional Western Australia, with many local chambers working closely with the 25 Small Business Centres located around the State.
The SBDC enjoys a close working relationship with the RCCI and appreciates the feedback provided on issues concerning small business in rural and regional centres," Ms Finlayson said.
The new President of the RCCI, Graham Harvey, CEO of Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is following on from the very popular Kitty Prodonovich, who is now a member of the SBDC Board.
"We congratulate Graham Harvey on his election as RCCI President and we look forward to working with him on small business related projects in the future," Ms Finlayson said.
"The SBDC has a Memorandum of Understanding with the RCCI which forms the basis of our very amicable working relationship."
The SBDC also congratulates the RCCI committee members elected to the following positions:
