Exiting a Business

At some stage all business owners must face the prospect of exiting their business and just like when you started, it's important that you meet all your obligations when ending or departing the operation.

An exit plan is a fantastic idea, and ideally the process of planning for this occasion would start at least two years before the actual event takes place! However as we are well aware most small business owners never actually plan for this event. Circumstance and opportunity often overtake the best of plans.

This section details the four main ways that people generally choose to end their business and includes information on your employees and their entitlements, your tax and legal obligations and which authorities need to be notified.
