The Government of Western Australia welcomes business migrants and recognises and values the positive economic and social contribution that they have made, and continue to make, to this State.

Western Australia has one of the strongest economies in Australia. However, to enhance our business environment, we want to attract successful business operators from overseas.

Migration programs and initiatives

The Government of Western Australia established a Business Migration Centre to develop and coordinate its migration program and initiatives, which include:

• promoting business migration to Western Australia;
• providing free information and guidance to prospective business migrants on living, working and establishing a business in Western Australia; and
• supporting qualifying business migrants with State nomination to move to Western Australia.

International marketing

The Business Migration Centre manages an international marketing program to attract new business migrants to Western Australia. This includes participation at overseas commercial and government migration expos, open days, seminars and appointments.

International and regional networks

To coordinate its activities and program, the Business Migration Centre cooperates with a network of local and overseas migration agents, and works closely with Western Australia's International Trade and Investment Offices and the State's Regional Development Commissions.
