The Western Australian Regional Small Business Awards

2016warsba logo

Now in their 14th year, the WA Regional Small Business Awards support a number of regionally based business award programs and provide an avenue for many of their winners to compete at state level.

The regional awards, usually run by the local Chamber of Commerce, will be held throughout 2016 from June to September and cover most of WA. From Kununurra in the north to Esperance in the south, small business operators will have an opportunity to enter their local awards. Winning at this level can see them progress to the WA Regional Small Business Awards which will be held in Perth on Friday 11 November.

See below for a list of participating regional award programs and dates.

Awards-ready workshops

To help potential applicants complete their awards submission, we will be running an awards-ready workshop at a number of regional centres around the State. You will be able to learn how to complete a quality submission – one that will give you the best chance of success.

While winning is the ultimate goal of entering any competition, there are many other benefits that can be gained by simply going through the submission process including:

  • great exposure for your business
  • a positive boost in morale for your staff
  • building credibility for your business
  • an excellent opportunity to critically look at your business
  • assisting with future business planning

The workshop will help you to step back and to view your business with fresh eyes and provide you with an opportunity to tell the world how fantastic your business really is.

The workshop is free of charge and will usually be held in the evening. Contact your local awards coordinator to find out if they will be running a ‘live’ workshop.

Our awards-ready workshop is also available online. Taking around 45 minutes to complete, it will give you the tools you need to write a successful award submission. Contact us at to access the workshop.
