BiZFiT - Building Business Resilience

The final BiZFiT event was on Thursday 24 November 2011. From October 2009 to November 2011 over 2,600 contacts were made by West Australian business owners who benefited from this practical and relevant business resilience program.

In 2009, as a direct response to the global financial crisis, the State Government invested $2 million over two years to help the small business sector in Western Australia become more resilient. The Small Business Development Corporation created the BiZFiT program, to help business owners work smarter to safeguard their business against difficult times. However, BiZFiT was also aimed at addressing the challenges created by boom times, such as shortages of staff and difficulty in obtaining supplies.

The BiZFiT program was rolled out through 73 events across metropolitan and regional areas in various stages covering towns along the way as far south to Albany, north to Derby, and east to Kalgoorlie.
